Gleneagles Golf Course: Built in 1927 by legendary golfer Walter J. Travis, Gleneagles is a historic treasure of Manchester. The course is within walking distance of the inn and offers both stunning views of the fall foliage and challenging links.
Hiking: Hiking trails abound throughout the valley, on Equinox and Stratton Mountains, Green Mountain National Forest and Merck Forest & Farmland Center. The inn has several trail maps and guides on hand.

Mad Tom Orchard: Visit Mad Tom Orchard and spend a day apple picking and enjoying a sensational view.
Country Pursuits: Outdoor enthusiasts will find an array of activities for all ages at Country Pursuits, located on the Equinox Resort property within walking distance of the inn. Spend an afternoon handling an off-road vehicle or attend lessons in archery and falconry.
Horseback Riding: Visit Sun Bowl Ranch on Stratton Mountain to experience the breathtaking views of the valley. Sun Bowl offers several ride options, from group to private tours, some even including a picnic lunch.
Viking Nordic Center: A wintertime ski resort, Viking Nordic Center offers 21 miles of wooded trails, great for hiking, biking, and experiencing the amazing views of Vermont’s famous foliage season.
Orvis: Located on Vermont’s historic Batten Kill river and within a mile of the inn, the Orvis Outlet Store offers a variety of outdoor activities. Spend a weekend mastering the art of fly fishing or learning to wingshoot at one or two day schools
Bromley Thrill Zone: Great for kids! This wintertime ski
lodge transforms into a family entertainment park during the summer months. Attractions include the famous Bromley Alpine Slide, miniature golf, and bumper boats.
Avanyu Spa: Avanyu Spa at the Equinox Resort

The Manchester Music Festival is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide gifted young musicians with opportunities to study and to perform, and to offer educational music programs throughout the Northeast. In addition, the Festival presents concerts of fine classical music for listeners/audiences of all ages.
Hildene: This historic home of Robert Todd Lincoln, the eldest son of Abraham Lincoln, currently houses a museum dedicated to the former president and his family. The property also boasts a beautiful garden in the spring and summer months and spectacular views year-round.
Weston Playhouse Theatre: Vermont’s oldest professional theatre has a tradition of premiering productions such as Chicago, The Full Monty and Urinetown the Musical to Vermont. The Weston Playhouse offers performances from mid-June to October.
Dorset Theatre: Offering an authentic Vermont theatre experience in a country setting, the Dorset theater presents both community and professional performances from mid-June to mid-September.
Southern Vermont Arts Center: Located in an historic mansion near the inn, SVAC features ten art galleries exhibiting classic and contemporary art for sale. The campus also offers an indoor/outdoor café, sculpture gardens, and botany trails.
Frog Hollow:This nationally known gallery, which features the work of juried Vermont artisans is situated across from the Equinox Resort and within walking distance of the inn. Frog Hollow in Manchester also offers a variety of art lessons for children and adults.
American Fly Fishing Museum: The museum, dedicated entirely to the history of fly fishing and contains an extensive collection of rods, reels, and flies on display. Enthusiasts will enjoy the museum store, which offers memorabilia from books to home décor.
Museum of the Creative Process: Located at the Wilburton Inn a few miles from the Reluctant Panther, this museum promotes scientific interpretation of art and attempts to explain creativity as a measurable conflict resolution process.
